North Carolina Upgrades to a Modernized Public Criminal Records Search System

The statewide roll out of the public criminal search service began November of 2015, and has n0w expanded to all 100 counties.

The expense to upgrade the system was just over one million dollars.  The system holds almost 50 million criminal records and court cases.

Searching is now user friendly, allowing those using the system quick access and the ability to easily email records at no cost.

Independent Consulting Group Evaluates DPW and Wastewater operations: Suggest Rate Hike

After an evaluation of the Tisbury sewer rates and local trash removal service fee schedule, Douglas Gardner, president of Pioneer Consulting Group, offered his advice.

In a seven page report, Gardner offered many recommendations including rate and fee hikes.  The reasoning for the rate hikes according to the report was that future increased expenses will not be covered by the current fee structure.

According to a recent post by the Institute of Certified Bookkeepers, the influence of cloud computing on bookkeeping is growing at an exponential rate.  As one  Sydney bookkeeper puts it, physical contact is no longer necessary, thanks to the cloud, documents, journals, ledgers and even shoe boxes can be uploaded and sent.

Even physically meeting with the client is not as necessary as it used to be, finalized documents can be scanned and signed electronically.
